Just wanted to say thanks to those who stepped up to help this year, my first year in this sport, it was very insightful, and I've learned allot from all who were willing to share here on the boards and at the race track. Thanks go out to the following, Jim Richazzi, Jim Pollard, Tom Hall, Eric Miller, Francis Oliver, Dave Osterhout, Richard Graham, Chad King & Cliff, Dave Gapczynski, Mike Carpenter & Bruce Dostal. A special thank you to my wife Penny for putting up with me (that's a full time job) and helping with the car, also thanks to Dave Godfrey for making the trek every week and helping me in the pits and in the garage with the car. And not to be forgotten are the guys who came over and tried to help out last Friday night at the tour race. Thanks Jim Housworth, Billy Vaninwegen Sr, as well as Billy Jr for sticking your heads in and offering your opinions and insight. If there is anyone out there who is reading this and you helped out this year, but don't see your name, I apologize and thank you for your help.
Now the bad news, unfortunately we blew a head gasket Friday night at the tour race and are done for the year. I don't have the money to send the motor out to be fixed right now, also no one has a spare I could borrow for the finial few shows, which is a real bummer but not much can be done about that. We have a double point event and the finial point event of the season this Friday at Caroga Creek and although I know I'll be missing a great show, it appears my 5th place in the point race is safe. Good luck to all involved and good luck to all you slingers the rest of the year as I am anxiously awaiting next season already.
