You see not too many people seem to take into consideration that this poll is important. Not to bash respected individuals in our division but to express legitimate concern and maybe something can be done about it. Its the replys that are not well thought out and / or worded to make sure the issues written about are NOT taking out of context. THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU are going to WRITE. Better yet just VOTE and dont reply. It is an anomynous vote>!! GEEZ!! SO SIMPLE

Marc, that's one of the biggest problems I have found in every form of Motorsports I've ever been involved with. You are asking for a vote, not a lecture. Peace out, The Sling

I wouldn't mind being in a race that had more than 10 cars in it We just dont have the numbers up here in western NY. We have a great bunch of people and it would be nice to get more cars at Paradise. Anyone who has been to Paradise knows that it is one of the best groomed tracks around......

What's the big draw at Paradise, or any other local racetracks in your area? I can't understand that more guys in NY wouldn't jump into a slingshot. Read below, and I'll explain my reasoning.
I drove Karts for more years then I can remember, maybe because along with the wins, came my share of broken bones, flips that resulted in ruined chassis, ruined engines, ruined helmets, etc. With taking that into consideration, I would never, ever thing about having my Son race a Kart today, I mean are you kidding me, no safety harness, 3/4" off the ground, speeds much faster then slingshots if your running a 2 cycle....
This is why I don't understand why more parents aren't getting their children out of Karts, and into a race car that has a full 5 point harness, form fitted seat, a body covering you up, etc. I know I will get a ton of crap from Kart racers, but I was there, and I spent more money back in the early 80's on my Karts then I have with fielding a slingshot in 2006.
Isn't it funny, how many children start out in 1/4 midgets, that have a roll cage, and safety harness, and then their parents move them out of that class and into an open wheeled kart which has no safety at all........... Then if you are lucky, you can wheel a Modified, or a Midget, etc, that has a cage, and Safety harness, go figure, where is the logic?
Peace out, The Sling

Marc and Justin, I know its a long haul for both of you guys but we would love to have you visit Paradise. Justin and I have raced against each other before and I have always found him to be a very clean racer. I dont even know Marc but I have great respect for him because he is one of few guys who will "tell you like it is" and as far as I am concerned, I consider him a good spokesperson for this class. He will praise you when you did something right and let you know when you need to improve on something. Sling it now, Paradise is big on the go-karts. There must be at least a dozen classes every saturday night. The biggest complaint I hear why go-karters choose not to try a slingshot is the "spec" aspect of the class. Spec motor, spec tires, spec parts etc. etc. I can understand that to a certain point but many karters complain that they are being beaten by teams with more money in there karts. At least the slingshots TRY to keep everyone on the same page

Jim Pollord,
You couldnt of been more correct. People have to stop depending on tobias, because it isnt his job to come to EVERY race EVERY friday, and saturday.
Rick lamont, and Jim Pollord are the 2 main people i would like to thank for the support of keeping the slingshots alive in this area, and re-creating this division in this area.
Thank you bolth, your efforts are apreciated
