I think it is best to run your diode wires to seperate togel, that way you have no risk of sending power to the diodes , whick will burn them out, one side to the diode wire one side to ground, the other togel, one side from the wire that comes off the starter, other side goes to the oil pressure switch, starter button and regulator, Ray nemeth

Contact me @ denb58@aol.com . If your switch is a Quantum magneto switch I have a wiring diagram I can e-mail you. I have re-wired 4 cars and have never had an issue. You do not need a separate switch unless you want one.

do not tie the 2 toggles together, the one is for the shut off only , which grounds the coils, the fuel pump is powered from the oil pressure switch, that way you do not get power to the fuel pump if you dont have oil pressure. Ray nemeth

I have done two wire harness' the way Dennis sent me the diagram for with no problems. Wiring is a weak point of mine also, but it was easy to follow and has been bullet proof so far. I can turn the motor over without starting so I can get oil pressure too. I used the Quantum magneto switch which has 6 prongs and a push button starter switch. I made my own dash though because the dashes we have are a little flimsy. Also, if you use a four prong trailer wiring type conector at the back, it makes changing motors even easier. If you'd need any help at all and I can be of assistance, feel free to hit me up. Take care, Rick Conrad
