29 Slingbangs pack the pits at Snydersville Raceway!
It was a very cold night in the hills of Snydersville but the support and comraderie of the racing community coming together for a non point "racing the way it oughta be" event, warmed the atmosphere.
15 cars were locked in from the 5 heats. And only 1 car was taken from the B main. Tom Arntz won the B main.
A 15 Lap Non Qualifiers Race, Sponsored by RPM New & Used Slingshot Parts, Racers Roundtable, Lehigh Valley Linex and Wert's Beverage saw 14 cars on the speedway for a winner take all $100 to win event in which Mike Mclaughlin took the checkers.
The main event saw Bobby Kibler bring the field to green. After a few rough starts it was esy to see why the raceway only starts 16 Slingbangs Max.
The young talented Kibler lead the first 8 circuits but he was closely pursued by the veteran driver Greg Zellman. Zellman took the lead on lap 9 and never looked back leading the last 22 circuits.
Top Three finishers: 16 Zellman, 18 Kibler, 22 Hildebrand
A full rundown will be posted shortly.
Bettler Brothers Racing wants to thank all those who supported the event. You are all true racers and we appreciate it.

I've never seen so many smiling and laughing faces at an event. It was taxing figuring out the lineups and payout but well worth it in the end. Very clean racing throughout the night with alot of give and take. I was happy to meet alot of new racers and hopefully introduce them to the tricky oval at the ville'. Our team was happy to see that many competitors brought some wild parts and setups into the equation and let innovation have a part in racing once again. While some had setup tricks and parts that would be deemed illegal it proved that driving skill and putting power in the drivers hands would be the ultimate test. The spread of the finishing order including many cars that didn't make the show had anything from stock slingshots to the "hot rod" tricks many people wanted to test out.
Keep this in mind for next year!
