Is there any rules about wraping or painting the exhaust. I know when we ran karts there were different rules about painting the muffler. New to slingers thanks for any input Ryan

Header Wrap is legal. I have not asked about any coatings. I had a set of pipes chromed a few years ago and was never busted about it. The chrome held up surprisingly well. You have to be aware of what doing such things do for performance both good and bad however. The wrap is a good idea in the chain/clutch area to minimize burns and protect the pipe against broken chain slap.
Header wrap can help performance but it also traps moisture in the pipe which can lead to rust when washing the car or a muddy track etc.. In some instances you want heat to escape a pipe surface which is the opposite of what header wrap does.
