Did you just crawl out of a bomb shelter? If you go to a dealer and order a right rear tire this is what you'll get. Ur kinds stuck with it. They're black, round and made in China. God Bless the USA

Thanks for your 2 cents worth. But I run at a track that is not a stickler on the tires. So long as their what Tobias sells you can get them from anywheres. Again thanks for your 2 cents worth that really was not worth the 2 cents. You may have all the knowledge but with that chip you carry I doubt you have many real friends.

Where do you run? The tire is alot softer on the sidewall, and much taller than the 8.50... Usually with the Duro you want to run a 9.50 or 8.50 on the LR to get stagger, definitely changes the gearing... No tracks should be "sticklers" with tires because they are all legal.. 8.50 9.50, duros, sawtooth, slicks..

The track owners in Florida are complaining that the Duro tires are "tearing up" the track. We run the same tracks as GoKarts in Florida. Are you having the same problem on the tracks up there?

All well and good until people buy nothing from them and they can no longer afford to keep the series going. Listen, to all of those who keep complaining about the SE rules and regulations....there are PLENTY of other classes of racing out there. I think I can speak for everyone and say if you don't like what is going on with the slingshots we are not forcing you to stay.

If they would stop making these stupid rules, they would sell more sling shots with all of the good things that come with that. You seem to be more worried about the rules and regulations instead of what is good for the business. Sound like you like to race by yourself??

We are probably going to sell our car do to the new rules. Five hundred dollars for shocks and adjusters that don,t even fit properly, when I have four perfectly good shocks, on top of registration and the new seal rule that is probably coming down the line, sense I see there are new seals again.(didn't I just pay hundreds of dollars to have two motors sealed). I think it's just more than I care to endure. That is another new slingshot SE won't sell and that won't support our local tracks who really deserve better. Thank god for the classes that don't have these stupid rules.

So if everyone is selling their slingshot and moving on that means someone is buying it to race. Unless it doesn't sell there will be someone taking your place. $1000 spent on a racer in the off season is a drop in the bucket compared to alot of classes.

Whatever guys. We enjoy slingshot racing. Even the nights where we only had 5 or so cars it was still alot of fun and very competitive. Are some of the rule changes silly? Yeah, but it's racing and you've got to pay to play.

I sat back and followed these posts now it's time for me to chime in.As far as the shocks go everyone knew that they were going to need them last Feb. so thats nothing new and as for the bodies it's in the rule book that bodies were good for 5 years if anybody has an 05 body in that good a shape than they did'nt race very much.

My thought (as was mentioned by Taz earlier) is that anything made for a slingshot (and hence sold by Speedway Ent at any time) should not have an expiration date. I understand its a business and progress toward a better product will always be made, but I should be able to use my old stuff if I choose to.

Rich's rule has always been if it's not available to everyone than no one can use it.Yes afco's are still available but at some point they won't be and you can still run two of them but i believe come Aug. the afcos will be gone. And besides the bilstiens are a better shocck anyway.

"Rich's rule has always been if it's not available to everyone than no one can use it". NOT TRUE. DURO tires are not available to everyone -- I have tried many times to buy them with no sucess. But Rich does not prohibit their use until they are available to everyone. Our local consistent winner has Duro tires and is a "big buddy" to the Florida SE distributor. THIS IS LEVEL PLAYING FIELD???
