West End Fair Nationals
Billy Pauch Jr. and Ryan Godown Set To Challenge Slingshot Stars At West End Fair Nationals.
The clock is ticking and the excitement is building for the “Most Anticipated Small Car Racing Event in the Northeast” at the West End Fair Nationals presented by Borgers Speedway.
The “Cream Of The Crop” in 270 Sprints, Wingless 600 Sprints, AllStar Slingshots, and Stage One Modifieds will perform under the lights and the sounds and smells of the 89th Annual West End Fair in Gilbert, Pa. which is one of the largest and longest running Country Fairs in the United States. Dirt Track Auto Racing’s roots sprung from the hundreds of Country Fairs across the country where Oval Dirt Track Auto Racing was born. The 5000 seat covered grandstand is expected to be packed with screaming racefans watching their favorite stars challenge the tricky 1/6 mile oval.
This year to add to the excitement Pa. Dirt Modified Hot Shoes Billy Pauch Jr. and Ryan Godown have confirmed their entries to do battle against the “Tough and Talented” AllStar Slingshots. Billy Pauch Jr. started his racing career at Borgers Speedway where he scored his first Slingshot win in 2000. While “The Ringoes Rocket “ Ryan Godown has one prior Slingshot driving experience racing at the BoardWalk Bowl in Atlantic City both talented chauffeurs should be a major threat to the Slingshot regulars.
Entries in the four divisions are filling up fast and are expected to exceed the 125 cars that competed in last year’s event. Pit Gates open at 11:00 a.m. with the drivers meeting at 5:00 p.m. All pit passes include Fair admission.
Come early and experience the sights, sounds, and smells of an “Old Fashioned Country Fair and then head to the racetrack and as night falls and the stars shine down on the “Best In Small Car Racing” witness for yourself the “Best Dirt Track Wheel Twisters” do battle for the title of “West End Fair Nationals Champion.”
