Another night of hot action at Borger’s Speedway.
With seven feature events slated to run, which included the five regular division features and two make-up races for the Junior Slingshots and the Regular Slingshots, fans got their monies worth.
Slingshot make-up A-main from June 13th was the first of two West End Fair National qualifier races. “The ageless wonder” Rich Hissim used a second starting position to put on a “clinic” for the thirty lap event. At one time the veteran had almost a six second lead on the field as the race ran without a caution. Bob Camps came home in a strong second with one of his best runs to date, Camps had the fastest laps of the race and actually started reeling in Hissim as the laps counted down. Third went to the other veteran of the division, Stan “the man” Friedman.
In the regularly scheduled Slingshot A-main, Matt “the real” Dealaman, used a pole position to pick-up the win in the thirty lap event. The fans were on the feet for the closing laps, as Dealman and “Tricky” Nick Snyder raced door handle to door handle side by side for the lead. Coming off of four Snyder, who was running the outside, lost traction and had to settle for the runner-up spot. Stan “the man” Friedman came home third.
