The driver's rosters are filling up for the highly anticipated West End Fair Nationals Race. With the Slingshot MA Gold Tour being one of the highlighted races on the card for the evening, some of the Slingshot divisions top wheel turners will be in attendance. There has been a decision made by Speedway Entertainment to allow the Junior Slingers to strap on a 2 barrel and compete with the BIG BOYS! This ruling is due to there not being a seperate race for Juniors at the same time. Per Speedway Entertainment "any Junior Slingshot participating will not effect their status as a Junior Slingshot driver!" This move will allow the Junior guys and gals to be part of one of the most highly anticipated races of the Summer.Driver entry forms are available at www.westendfairnationals.comThank You West End Fair Nationals Management

Not a fan of that decision... Even though the Junior Races at Borgers usually can run a #ELL of a lot cleaner then the "Big" boys. This is a recipe for Disaster. As it is everyone will be driving over their heads to win the big race now add in a handful of Juniors who have never had the power increase from a single to a double barrell and also add in a track no one has ever run. Not a fan of the desicion... JMO.. Whatever puts the people in the stands and makes the show a success i guess... Who knows i could be wrong.

Jr drivers are 8 threw 14. Kurt, how about someone like me entering it, that would be the same wouldn't it. S.E. is just trying to let everyone run it. Hopefully everyones uses their heads!!!

Yes, and i understand that. However Ron ive seen you at Borger's, Snydersville and i know you go to Hamlin. you know as well as i know that you watch some Junior races and there are some kids that just dont get it yet. I dont believe an event as large as this one is the place to "showcase" their talent. Which could end up getting expensive. Either way i bet our team chooses to run this event... I just wanted to hear other people's opinions, real names, fake names or what i want to know if anyone else is a little leary about the decision... And i figured i'd break the ice... Im not tryin to cause an issue.

thanks Todd
Kurt, I understand what your saying. Thats why I said hopefully everyone uses thier heads. I've also seen adults racing over their heads so you might have that problem either way. That's just part of racing.

This is a real bad idea, why not just have a junior race, there will be enough cars, I believe, do we want to see 20 restarts and a lot of wrecks, maybe it will work out, but unlikely, flat track, no experience by anyone on this track, why is this being done here?, is this going to happen at reading too, Ray Nemeth Sr.

You will probable have this problem anyway with the higher pay out even without any jrs' out there. Some of the jrs' can run good, hopefully everyone uses thier heads.
