Noticed on 4cycle. com, someone was asking about earlier starting times--some people work on Saturdays and do not get out until 3. They need time to get to the track also. We agree with the younger kids going first--great idea!!! Thanks for reopening the track and giving us a place to run! See you there!

Do you plan on running kids jr. champ karts 8-12 or 12-15 years old. Also for the 12-15 will you run the animal motors, flatheads or both ? What are the restrictor plates if you are running 12-15 Jr champ karts

On the Jr champs and kid jr champs. Rest. Jr. Champs will be 8-12 years @ 315# min with purple restrictor plate.
Jr. Champ will be 12-15 years @ 345# min with gold restrictor plate.
Right now I will say flatheads only for engines. If there are a few animals, they can run in the same class but scored separately. Animals would start ahead of flatheads in the race. If 5 or more animals show, then they could run their own race.

what are the rules for practice, in the past we justed called the track and if it was ok we went but there could only be 1 kart on the track at a time, will this be the same for this season?

49racer, Due to the liability insurance and the lease arrangements - this random practice schedule is not an option. The Locklin's are not responsible for the racing activities anymore. Sorry! S&S Speedways PS. And for Dave on the previous post - no micro sprints will be racing at Hamlin this year.
