Grandview Race Update Grandview promoter Bruce Rogers is busy contacting various race teams from the other classes he is projecting on running as part of a Sunday evening race card with the Modified Sportsman/Street Stock/Slingshot and another SPEC class division.Purse structures, rules and a non-conflicting date are being addressed and discussed to keep all participants on an even keel when the racers hit the 1/3rd mile high banked oval.

That's awesome. I go to Grandview every Saturday night, I wouldn't mind going to Grandview Sunday also. Thanks for that information. -Steve

I said it once before and I'll say it again, this is a BIG mistake wanting to run at Grandview. The track is just too big for these cars. The 600cc modifieds are painful to watch at that track and they have almost 3 times the power. If the slingshots run there you are looking at nothing but problems. Slow speeds, blown motors, if it's bad, it will happen. There is absolutely nothing positive that could come out of this. I highly advise against it.

they run at third of a mile tracks. but, it's up to Bruce Rogers, and his team. the 600's do have power, but I don't believe the slingshots will blow up because you think the track is too big for em. I have been going to Grandview for years, I walked the track, I even talked to all the drivers about this slingshot thing, and they also think its good idea for them to run there. I don't wanna debate or fight about this. Let's just see what happens, okay?

Again I'll say this. Let's wait and see if Bruce Rogers will have them race there. If he doesn't , he can still race the Modified sportsmans and street stocks
